Official Statement of the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) on AMA Rural Bank of Mandaluyong, Inc. (AMA Bank)
After a series of discussions, the PDIC and AMA Bank have amicably resolved all concerns related to the turnover of the Cash Assets of AMA Bank for the benefit of the Bank’s depositors and creditors.
On 12 March 2025, the PDIC completed the turnover of the funds amounting to PHP259,429,200.65 to AMA Bank. This turnover concludes the PDIC’s compliance with the Decision dated 7 September 2020, Writ of Execution dated 30 September 2020, and Alias Writ of Execution dated 5 November 2020, all issued by the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. No. 163288. The PDIC previously turned over the documents, records, branches, and other Non-Cash Assets to AMA Bank between 16 June 2023 to 13 July 2023.
Depositors, creditors, and borrowers of AMA Bank are advised to await further announcements from AMA Bank and to communicate all queries regarding deposit accounts, loans, and other concerns directly with AMA Bank.
